Pressure Ratings are calculated using 0.63 design factor for HDS at 73°F as listed in PPI TR-4 for PE 4710 materials. 
HDPE can accomodate up to 1.5 times the pipe pressure rating for a recurring surge and up to 2.0 times the pipe pressure rating for an occasional surge. Temperature, Chemical, and Environmental use considerations may require use of additional design factors.
