Introduction
Also known as modified polypropylene material, MPP is primarily used to produce MPP power cable pipes. Modified polypropylene pipes (MPP pipes, or MPP power pipes for short) feature high temperature resistance and external pressure resistance, and are suitable for high-voltage transmission lines and cable protection pipes of 10KV and above. MPP power cable pipes offer excellent electrical insulation, high heat distortion temperature and reliable low-temperature impact resistance. In addition, MPP pipes outperform HDPE pipes in tensile and compressive strength. They are also lightweight, with smooth surfaces and low friction coefficients, and can be joined via hot fusion butt welding. With excellent corrosion resistance and a long service life, MPP pipes exhibit superior physical properties overall.
Description of Modified Polypropylene (MPP) Power Cable Protection Pipe
Made from modified polypropylene, MPP electrical conduits support non-excavation installation without the need to dig up or damage roads. This allows them to be applied to special construction scenarios such as roadways, railways, buildings and riverbeds. Compared with traditional excavation-based construction, non-excavation construction is more environmentally friendly, as it avoids construction-induced dust pollution and traffic congestion. It is particularly suitable for projects in areas where excavation is difficult, including historical sites, downtown districts, farmlands, highways and river courses.
