Based on years of construction experience, we would like to remind all users and construction units to pay attention to the following points for PE welding during summer construction:
1. Check whether all components of the welding machine are working properly, especially pay attention to measuring whether the temperature of the welding machine heating plate is within the standard temperature range (220 ℃± 10 ℃) before use.
2. The adjustment of heating plate temperature needs to consider the influence of surface temperature and ambient temperature on the actual temperature of the heating plate, to prevent the actual temperature of the heating plate (surface temperature+ambient temperature+heating plate display temperature) from exceeding 230 ℃. When the ambient temperature is above 38 ℃ and construction is carried out on asphalt roads, the temperature of the heating plate can be adjusted to between 190 ℃ and 200 ℃; When the ambient temperature is below 38 ℃ and construction is carried out in the field, the temperature of the heating plate can be adjusted to 200 ℃ -210 ℃.
3. Before connecting the pipes, check the misalignment rate, which should not exceed 10% of the pipe wall thickness. If the misalignment rate exceeds 10% of the pipe wall thickness, the contact surface at the welding point will be smaller than the pipe wall thickness, which will affect the welding effect.
4. The calculation of heating time is based on the fact that when the end faces of the two pipes are in contact with the heating plate on one circumference, the welding machine pressure is removed and the heating time begins. The calculation method for heating time is the pipe wall thickness multiplied by 10 seconds.
5. After the welding of the pipe is completed, the pressure is maintained and the cooling time is entered. The calculation method for the cooling time is the pipe wall thickness X1min.
6. If forced cooling methods such as water cooling and air cooling are used after welding, it will cause virtual welding at the welding point, affecting the welding quality. Therefore, natural cooling should be used for cooling.
